Slate compared with EZcount
An EZcount plan sets a monthly document cap, with a price for every document above it. Those two numbers decide how far the bill moves in a busy month. This page shows both, along with the brand change that happened along the way.
Prices were checked on 5 September 2026 against the official price list. Price lists change, so verify before deciding.
What EZcount is
An Israeli cloud document issuing system, long established and known mainly to small businesses and to developers working against its API. The site now presents it as a system from Hyp, the payment solutions company.

The price of a document over the cap
On Givol and Shtil an extra document costs ₪0.75, and on Mata it drops to ₪0.25. A business on Givol that issued 150 documents in a month paid ₪24 for the plan and ₪75 for the documents above 50, more than four times the plan price. That same month on Shtil would have been ₪36 plus ₪37.5.
So the comparison between plans here runs between the monthly price and the documents above the cap, rather than between the prices alone.
What happened to the brand
The address ezcount.co.il/pricing now redirects to hyp.co.il, and the plans in the price list are named Givol, Shtil, Mata and Pardes. Anyone looking for the price list under the EZcount name lands on a Hyp page. The old name is still in use on the site itself, which presents the system as a Hyp product.

A bill that does not move with volume
No cap and no price per document. A month with 40 documents and a month with 400 cost the same, and there is no plan to upgrade to as the business grows.
Allocation numbers in the background. The request goes out after issuing is already finished, so the document never waits on the Tax Authority. When a request is rejected, the three alternatives the law allows are available from the document page. Details in the allocation number guide.
Import with a reconciliation report. The Open Format file from your previous system is read and shown as a report before a single line is written, so you can stop before wrong history enters the books.
Documents in English and foreign currency. Document language, billing currency and VAT rate are three separate settings on the same document, zero-rated export transactions included. Detail in the English invoice guide.
What to confirm before leaving
Export a full Open Format file, import it into Slate, and only then issue the first new document, so the numbering sequence carries straight on.
