Which invoicing system fits you

Every Israeli system issues a valid invoice. The differences sit in price, document limits, what happens when you need to leave, and how much manual work is left with you. This page summarizes what can actually be checked.

Prices checked on 15 August 2026 against the official pages. Price lists change, so verify before deciding.

What each one offers

Morning (Green Invoice)

The largest and longest-running system in the market, over 150,000 businesses. Acquired in December 2024 by the Italian company TeamSystem.

PriceFour plans, excluding VAT. Basic from ₪29 a month billed annually, up to 20 documents a month with ₪1 per extra document. Best ₪45 annual or ₪54 monthly, up to 50 documents. Extra ₪74 or ₪89, up to 200. Prime ₪129 or ₪155, up to 500. The number of businesses per plan rises from one on the entry plan to five on the top one.

SuitsA business that wants a mature system with built-in card clearing and ready integrations, and does not mind the price rising with document count.

iCount

A strong brand among small businesses, with modules that go beyond invoicing and a 45-day trial.

PriceThree plans, excluding VAT. Express at ₪276 a year in a single payment, unlimited documents, one business and one user, without an API or store integration. Advanced from ₪32 a month, priced by how many documents were issued that month. Master from ₪111 a month with representation before the tax authorities, plus ₪119 to open a tax file and ₪500 for the annual return. Features such as CRM or time tracking are priced separately.

SuitsAnyone who also needs card clearing, time tracking or tax representation in one place, and is willing to assemble the package from features.

Invoice4u

A long-standing player with a particularly strong content presence around Israel Invoice and allocation numbers.

PriceTheir price list is published on their own site and varies by module. We do not quote it here rather than cite an unverified figure.

SuitsA business looking for a system with built-in clearing and Hebrew-language support.

Rivhit

Very long-established, with desktop and cloud versions, and strength in double-entry bookkeeping. A whole family of modules alongside it: payroll, point of sale, inventory, card clearing and withholding tax.

PriceBy plan and module, with no single published price list for the whole system. What is published is the API document pricing: ₪35 up to 99 documents, ₪54 for 100 to 199, and ₪81 for 200 to 499, excluding VAT.

SuitsA business running its own double-entry bookkeeping, or working with a firm that requires it.

What is actually worth checking

How many documents you issue a month

Most price lists in this market are built around document volume. A business issuing 15 documents a month and one issuing 150 pay completely different amounts on the same system. Before comparing base prices, count how many documents left your business in a busy month.

What the day you leave looks like

This is the question nobody asks and everybody regrets. A system that exports a fullOpen Format file in one click lets you move on. A system that requires a support ticket to get your own data takes away your freedom to leave. The practical side of a move is in the switching guide.

How allocation numbers are handled

Since the threshold dropped to 5,000 shekels before VAT, almost every active business meets the requirement. The question is whether the system requests the number itself in the background, and what it does when a request is rejected. Full detail in theallocation number guide.

Whether you need card clearing

This is the most common deciding point. A business collecting card payments through the system needs built-in clearing. A business receiving bank transfers and issuing a document does not, and pays for it without using it.

Whether you work with overseas clients

An English document, a foreign currency amount, and zero-rated VAT are three separate things, and some systems handle only part of them. What is actually required is set out in theEnglish and foreign currency invoicing guide.

Alternatives to Green Invoice

Morning is the market default, so most searches for an alternative start there. The three common reasons for moving are the monthly document limit, a price that climbs with growth, and needing a feature that is not in the plan you bought. A focused comparison is on theMorning comparison page.

Two more focused comparisons: Slate against iCount, where the question is mostly how many features end up in the package, and Slate against Rivhit, where it is how much of the bookkeeping and payroll world you actually need.

In any case, before cancelling a subscription: export a full Open Format file and keep it. The retention obligation is seven years and does not end when an account closes, as set out in thedocument retention guide.
