Slate compared with SUMIT
SUMIT prices by an action meter, and its free plan carries a monthly quota too. The practical question is what the system counts as an action, because the list is wider than issuing documents. This page sets it out.
Prices were checked on 5 September 2026 against the official price list and help centre. Price lists change, so verify before deciding.
What SUMIT is
An Israeli business management system covering document issuing, card clearing, work hours, attendance and tasks, with a separate product for bookkeeping firms. All of it feeds the same monthly meter, so the plan is chosen by how much activity there is rather than by document count alone.
The plans and their action quotas
| Plan | Price | Actions | Note |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | ₪0 | 10 a month | No way to buy actions beyond the quota |
| Start | ₪25 a month, ₪19 on an annual subscription | 50 a month | First month at no charge |
| Growth | ₪125 a month | 400 a month | More modules, and a cheaper extra action |
| Advanced | ₪375 a month | 1,500 a month | More modules, and a cheaper extra action |
| Slate | ₪0 | No meter | Unlimited documents, businesses and users, subject to the terms |
All prices exclude VAT. Slate is free, subject to the terms.
What counts as an action
| Action |
|---|
| Issuing a document, of any type |
| A card charge that went through |
| A standing-order (Masav) charge |
| Logging a work hour |
| An attendance report |
| Creating a task |
| A refund report |
| A card replacement notice |
A business that issues an invoice, collects it by card and logs an hour against the same job has used three actions on one customer. On the free plan that is three out of ten.
What is metered beyond actions
| Item | Price |
|---|---|
| Storage | ₪5 per GB a month |
| SMS message | ₪0.1 |
| Email delivery | ₪0.01 |
| API calls | Above five times the plan action quota |
What happens when the quota runs out
According to SUMIT's help centre, once the quota is passed the system stops allowing further documents to be sent that month, and you can either upgrade or wait for the reset next month. The free plan has no option to buy extra actions, so the stop at the tenth is the ceiling.
Count the actions of your busiest month, not an average one.

Why Slate has no meter
There is no monthly quota to count against. Document count, business count and user count do not affect the price, and there is no month in which issuing stops.
Allocation numbers in the background. The request goes out after issuing is already finished, so the document never waits on the Tax Authority. When a request is rejected, the three alternatives the law allows are available from the document page. Details in the allocation number guide.
Import with a reconciliation report. The Open Format file from your previous system is read and shown as a report before a single line is written, so you can stop before wrong history enters the books.
Documents in English and foreign currency. Document language, billing currency and VAT rate are three separate settings on the same document, zero-rated export transactions included. Detail in the English invoice guide.
Card clearing, attendance and payroll exist in SUMIT and do not exist in Slate. Anyone running work hours and attendance in the same system that issues the documents will want one that covers them.
Moving the history across
Export the Open Format file, import it into Slate, and only then issue the first new document, so the numbering sequence carries straight on. The steps and checks are in the guide to switching invoicing software, and the seven-year retention duty, which does not end when an account closes, is in the retention guide.
The document samples show what actually comes out of Slate, a signed file of every type.
